Partners

The PyrMove consortium is formed by 5 partners belonging to 3 trans-Pyrenean regions (Spain, Andorra and France). In particular is fomed by a technological university (UPC, Spain), the geological services of France (BRGM), Catalonia (ICGC) and Andorra (IEA-CENMA) and a research organization specialized in risk management (CEREMA, France). This consortium results from the need to study all the environmental and risk management contexts in the POCTEFA territory.

Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) - Principal beneficiary and project manager.

The UPC is a leading university in civil engineering (23rd position in the world, 8th in Europe and 1st in Spain) with expertise in characterizing risks associated with landslides (soil and rock mechanics laboratory, mapping tools, auscultation and numerical modeling).

Bureau de Recherches Géologiques et Minières (BRGM)

BRGM is the French National Geological Survey and an institution of reference in applying Earth Sciences to resources management and risks assessment. The BRGM is responsible for risk mapping in France and dispose of advance geomatic tools available.

Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya (ICGC)

The ICGC is the Catalan service that provides tools for the prevention and management of natural and human-related risks, including tasks to raise public awareness, civil protection and disaster management systems and infrastructures.

Center d’étude et d’Expertise sur les Risques, l’Environnement, la Mobilité et l’Aménagement (CEREMA)

CEREMA is a center of reference on the study of mobiility and natural risks. For the project, the Toulouse delegation will make available an advanced laboratory for testing soils and rocks. In addition they will carry out technical interventions in the field.

Institut d'Estudis Andorrans (IEA)

IEA-CENMA is the Andorran centre responsible for the study of the physical aspects of the mountainous environment, including those associated with natural risks (avalanches, earthquakes, landslides). The institute will provide data on the Canillo pilot site.
